SCONES and tea were on offer at Kooweerup’s Killara Hostel as residents and staff enjoyed an Agatha Christie inspired afternoon tea.

The annual event was well attended with 30 residents and their families dining together on Friday afternoon.

The tea is named after one of Christie’s characters, English detective Miss Marple who was renowned for her delicious afternoon teas.

There is also a Miss Marple’s restaurant in Olinda, which was re-created at Killara with the lounge room presented like an old English coffee shop.
