Teagan cuddles up to one of the new baby lambs.

CHILDREN will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some baby animals over the July school holidays.

Caldermeade Farm and Café, Lang Lang, has welcomed the arrival of some baby animals to their small animal nursery just in time for some school holiday fun.

Marketing manager at Caldermeade Farm Nola DeLorenzo said a day at the farm was a great way for families to experience the farming industry.

“It promises to be some great family fun,” she said.

“Children can hold and pat a variety of baby animals.”

“There will be animals including the newly-arrived twin orphan lambs, a baby goat just weeks old and rabbits.”

Up to 400 cows are also milked twice daily at the farm. Children can watch from above, in a glass-fronted viewing room as the cows spin around on the 50-unit rotary platform. Milking starts at 3.30pm daily.

For more details contact the farm on 5997 5000.
