PAKENHAM Secondary College student Chantelle Jones is the recipient of this year’s Ron and Sylvia Cameron Trust Award.
The Rotary Club of Pakenham recently presented Ms Jones with a commemorative certificate and a cash award to assist with her future education expenses.
The Ron and Sylvia Cameron trust was established in 2006 to perpetuate the memory of long-serving Rotarian Ron Cameron and his wife Sylvia, an equally long serving Inner Wheel member.
It was set up with the support of the Cameron family and the Rotary Club of Pakenham to assist students in furthering their education using the funds bequeathed by the couple. The Cameron Trust winner is selected from Year 9 students nominated by teachers at participating schools within the Cardinia Shire.
The award ceremony was held on Tuesday 24 June at the Pakenham Golf Club.
